Today on 9th of December 2024, Brig. K.B Memorial Public Hr Sec School, Bye Pass Road, Jammu celebrated its Annual Day (Higher wing) with great enthusiasm and fervour at Sahir Ludhianvi Cultural Hall of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Complex, Jammu. The Annual function was attended by Chief Guest Jenab Javed Ahmed Rana Sahib (Hon’ble Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest-Ecology, Environment & Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir & Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman J&K BOSE was the Guest of Honour on the occasion, Patron-in-chief GDCT Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Chairman GDCT Mr. Arshad Ali Choudhary, Director KBPS & Director Finance Tribal Affairs Jenab Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan, Jenab Bashir Ahmed Noon Financial Advisor, General Secretary Er. Mohd. Sadiq Azad & Jenab Taj Mohi ud din Sb. Former-Minister & Founder Trustee, Master Hasham Ali Former Chairman & Patron GDCT, Jenab Farooq Alam Sb Patron, Jenab Asid Khaliq Poswal Secretary, Jenab Mohammad Aslam Gheghi Sb, Jenab Hamid Hussain Sb, Er. The day started with a visit to the grave of Baba e Qoum Late. Dr Masud Choudhary by the chief guest and all other dignitaries. The Hon'ble Minister laid foundation stone of playgrounds & Vocational Training Centre and also inaugurated the newly constructed & renovated Dr. Masud Choudhary Boys Hostel of BKBP School. The Ceremony started with a visit to GDCT & presentation of bouquet to the Esteemed Chief Guest Jenab Javed Ahmed Rana Sahib (Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest-Ecology, Environment & Tribal Affairs Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir J&K Government & Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Chairman J&K Bose, as the Guest of Honour by Principal KBPS, followed by the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp, by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Patron-in-Chief GDCT Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Chairman GDCT Jenab Arshad Ali Choudhary. The Director BKBPS Mr. Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan warmly welcomed the Chief Guest along with all other dignitaries, Parents and students and highlighted the school's achievements. This was followed by a Welcome Song, which was performed with great energy and enthusiasm.
The event showcased a vibrant celebration of talent, culture, and achievement, highlighting the school's rich heritage and commitment to excellence. The program featured a range of performances, including Gojri/Dogri dances, songs, plays, and qawwali highlighting the diversity and richness of Indian culture. Annual prize distribution for Sports and Academics was also given to the students. Distinguished guests were present to grace the event. In her Annual Report, Principal Ms Nehreer Khan gave an overview of the various achievements of the school providing a glimpse of various achievements through an exhaustive PPT. Glittering performances by Students in the form of Group dances, Qawalis and Bhangra thrilled the audience. While Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Jenab Javed Ahemed Rana Hon'ble Minister appreciated the GDCT for undertaking various welfare programs and urged the students to make the most of the opportunities provided by this school and strive for excellence in all their future endeavours. He also informed that Govt. will definitely support the GDCT to continue with their endeavours.
Mr. Arshad Ali Choudhary Chaiman GDCT lauded the role of School Principal & Staff who tireless worked for making this Annual Day a great success & also expressed his delight and appreciated each student for their performance emphasizing on the overall development of each student. The Chairman also assured the guests that in future such programmes will be conducted.

The Patron in Chief of the Trust Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary appreciated the dedication & hard work of Staff and Students for making the Annual Day a huge success & announced various beneficial incentive for the Staff of Trust & School including 5% Salary hike, refreshment to the Students/Staff of School. Lastly Patron-in-Chief offered Principal KBPS Ms. Nehreer Khan to organise a Free Lunch to all the Staff of Trust & School at luxurious restaurant located in Jammu city.
The anchoring of the programme was conducted by Mr. Manzoor Ahmed and Ms. Sumaiya Mariyam. The event concluded by the National Anthem, leaving everyone with fond memories and sense of pride.

The Ceremony started with a presentation of bouquet to the Esteemed Chief Guest Shri Anand Jain IPS, ADGP, J&K Police by Principal KBPS, followed by the lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp by the Chief Guest, Patron-in-chief GDCT Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Chairman GDCT Mr. Arshad Ali Choudhary, Director KBPS Mr. Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan, General Secretary Er. Mohd. Sadiq Azad, Jb. Shouket Javed Sr. Trustee, Jb. Mohammad Yousuf Khepar, Principal KBPS Ms. Nehreer Khan & Staff.
The event was a spectacular showcase of talent, creativity, and teamwork, featuring a diverse range of performances and activities. The audience was then treated to a mesmerizing Naat performance, which set the tone for the rest of the day. In the Welcome Address Ms. Allaya Batt warmly welcomed the Chief Guest along with all other dignitaries, Parents and students and highlighted the school's achievements. This was followed by a Welcome Song, which was performed with great energy and enthusiasm. The highlight of the day was the traditional Gojri &Punjabi dance performances performed by students of Brig. K.B. Public School & was a testament to the student’s cultural heritage.
The event proceeded with the ramp walk by Nursery and L.K.G students, who showcased their confidence and poise. The UKG students then took to the stage with a high-energy dance performance. The Chairman of the Trust Mr. Arshad Ali Choudhary presented a Memento to the Chief Guest for his services in providing support for the welfare & protection of the people of J&K. The Chief Guest Shri Anand Jain IPS, ADGP Jammu in his speech gave valuable suggestions &applauded the students and teachers for their tireless efforts and display of vibrant performances and enthusiasm. He commended the inclusive environment of the school. He urged the students to make the most of the opportunities provided by this school and strive for excellence in all their future endeavours. The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping a better future for the youth and encouraged everyone to continue working towards this goal.

During the Celebrations different items of Gojri culture, music, language & Education like Gojri Songs by Ms Parveen Choudhary, Ms. Razia Ashraf & cultural dance performances by students of Gujjar-Bakerwal Hostels etc. were presented.

Jb. Javed Ahmed Rana in his speech lauded the role of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust in the field of Socio-Economic, cultural and particularly in imparting the education among Tribals, preserving their rich culture & suggested various measures for the improvement of Gojri Language & Culture.
He also put stress on providing proper health education to Tribals & their women. Lastly, he expressed his gratitude for the Gujjar Bakarwal Community for their lifetime struggle and also remembered & paid rich Tributes to Founder GDCT Baba-e-Qoum late Dr. Masud Choudhary on this occasion for his lifelong struggle and remarkable contributions to uplift the Gujjar Bakerwal Tribal Community Socio-economically, educationally, Culturally & also highlighted the role of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust in the service of the Community during last 32 years & thanked all the Guests, Participants, Media Persons, Trustees & Staff for sparing their valuable time & making this programme a great success.

Rich Tributes were paid by Sr. Trustees Bashir Ahmed Noon & Adv. Shah Mohammad Chowdhary to Sh. Birsa Munda on his 150th Birth Anniversary, who was born on November 15, 1875 in Ulihatu village in Jharkhand. He belonged to Munda Tribe, an indigenous Tribal Community in the Chota Nagpur Plateau but his life changed drastically when the British Colonial Policies forced displacement of Munda Tribe from their lands and were forced to work as bonded labourers by the exploitative landlords. The Munda Tribals were oppressed and marginalized in their own homeland. Birsa Munda raised the voice against this oppression and the Birsa Movement called “Ulgulan” started for the Soico-Economic, Religious and Cultural emancipation of the Tribal People. Birsa Munda was arrested in 1895 for inciting Tribal rebellion but was soon released. He was once again arrested in 1900 & was sadly died under mysterious circumstances in British custody at the age of 25 on June 9, 1900.
During the Celebration different items of Gojri Culture & Education were presented like Gojri Bait by Mr. Azad Ahmed Azad, Ms Zakriya Bano Student of P.G Hostel Jammu highlighted the issues of Tribal Women, their issues and challenges. Mohammad Sajid P.G. Deptt. of Urdu (JU) emphasized on Tribal Schemes and its implementation. Mohammad Imran Student of Boys P.G. Hostel Jammu highlighted the issues of Tribal Youth.
