The Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT), a Non-Governmental, Non-Political registered organization has been rendering a yeoman’s services to the Gujjar-Bakerwal Tribal Community & oppressed classes of Jammu & Kashmir since 1992 & has been working for the Socio-Economic, Cultural, Educational & Linguistic upliftment of Gujjar-Bakerwal Tribal Community & other weaker sections of the society. The Trust is also working for the promotion of Gojri language, culture and preservation of glorious past of Gujjar-Bakerwal Community.
The stalwarts of GDCT has envisioned to uplift this nomadic Gujjar-Bakerwal downtrodden Community by providing quality education to the Community through Brigadier Khuda Baksh Memorial Public Hr. Sec. School, a constituent of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust established in 1995, the only resident School in Jammu having Hostel facility for both Boys & Girls, besides working for Socio-Economic, Cultural, Educational upliftment of the community through other platforms of the Trust like Sahir Ludhianvi Cultural Hall,Dr. Masud Choudhary Tribal Museum, Begum Akbar Jahan Research Library, Babu Faiz Ahmed Study Centre, Sarwari Kasana Hall, Ch. Abdullah Lodge & Haji Ibrahim Conference Room.
In furtherance to upliftment of educational standard among poor students, Boys Hostel adjoining Brig. K. B. Public School has been renovated & equipped with all the modern facilities for housing 100 number resident students during 2024-25 in addition to Girls Hostel having a capacity of accommodating 200 Girl Students which is already in place.
